Barbara Khozam, former Pro-Am beach volleyball player

Today’s show is about Barbara Khozam who started playing volleyball in her mid-20’s. After taking some classes, she really began to excel at the sport and felt that it clicked for her and came so easily. She immediately fell in love with beach volleyball—which gave her the chance to be outdoors with sand under her feet and surrounded by the ocean and sun. Barbara attributes part of her ability to stay in the sport for nearly 2 decades to her late start into it which she believes helped her avoid burning out.

You can still find Barbara putting her skills to work on the beaches of Southern California giving the youngsters a run for their money.
